Founded in 1938, Grant Industries is a global leader in the research, development, manufacturing, and marketing of specialty performance chemicals. The company's involvement in the textile industry dates back 75 years.  In 1977 Grant made one of its largest acquisitions. The company purchased Chemical Products Corporation and moved its facility from Haledon, NJ to its current headquarters in Elmwood Park, NJ. As a result of the acquisition Grant became a leading supplier of personal care items used in the cosmetic industry.

As the company experienced rapid growth and continued to diversify, textile manufacturing in the United States began to consolidate. In response, Grant focused on serving other coatings market segments including printing inks and architectural paints. Today, the Specialty Coatings Group manufactures products such as water-based pigment dispersions, specialty inks, and performance coatings for packaging and film.

Privately owned for more than 75 years, we will never forget how we got here: selling quality products along with providing exemplary service. Remaining customer focused continues to be central to our business.
